Growth

Is In Your Hands

Welcome.

Whether you are seeking help for yourself or your relationship, my goal is to provide a safe and welcoming place for you to explore and work toward what is best for you. While we can’t change difficult situations in the past, we can work together to understand and resolve the challenges preventing you from being where you want to be.

As an experienced, strengths-based Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), I apply various therapeutic techniques to meet you where you are and help you meet your goals. If you, or you and your partner, are looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, or you are ready to move in a new direction, I look forward to talking with you.

About Me

Hi. I’m Janette Robinson, Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), and I love what I do. I am moved each time a couple, feeling hopeless and defeated, find connection and affirmation after replacing spiraling discussions with loving and straightforward communication. I am energized each time a client finds a way forward through a dark, confusing struggle to a place of clarity and hope. This is why I do this important work.  When not working, I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren, and delighting in my own relationship that has been going strong for more than 25 years.

Services Offered

Couples

I strive to help couples find intimacy, connection and understanding in support of goals we set together. I lead and support couples in healing from betrayal, confronting childhood trauma, addressing parenting challenges, and changing unhealthy patterns of communication. Alternatively, when couples so choose, I guide them to uncouple and co-parent respectfully and gracefully.

Individuals

I work from different therapeutic approaches to help clients find their own intentions, resources and strengths. Individual Therapy takes place online, in our office in San Francisco, or in nature through Trail Talk. Trail Talk is built on the idea that activity, and nature, provide an additional benefit for those engaged in therapy.
